Sabrina Lopez scored three goals and added four assists as the Pirates' women's soccer team ran away from Allan Hancock College 12-2 in the regular season finale at the VC Sportsplex Friday night.
Abigail Littleton added a pair of scores and three assists for the Pirates (11-4-5, 7-1-4) while Melissa Cardenas scored twice , also with an assist. Sofia Chandler scored two goals while handing out an assist, as well.
The Pirates stayed in the Western State Conference race nearly until the final week of the season, finishing a close third with 25 points, behind Santa Barbara (30) and Pierce (27).
VC now awaits its playoff seeding as an at-large selection. The CCCAA SoCal regional Playoffs will begin on Thursday Nov. 20 or Saturday Nov. 22.
