WOMEN'S SOCCER: The Ventura College women's soccer team took the long trip to San Luis Obispo on Tuesday, coming home with a 3-0 shutout victory over Cuesta College. Goal Keeper Hailee Powell posted her seventh shutout of the season while Miranda Campos, Sofia Chandler, and Liz Fair all scored goals for the Pirates (10-3-2, 5-2-1). Campos scored in the fourth minute with an assist by Ashley Borrell before Chandler's goal assisted by Abigail Littleton in the 26th. In the second half, Fair added the exclamation point off of an assist by Dakota Thompson in the 63rd minute.
The Pirates will travel to Oxnard College on Friday Nov. 1 for a 4:00 pm contest before hosting Los Angeles Pierce on Tuesday Nov. 5 in a crucial Western State Conference contest.
