Six Pirates earned All-WSC honors in voting by the conference coaches last week.

Six Ventura College women's basketball players have been named to the All-Western State Conference team for the 2015-16 season.  Earning first-team nods were the five Pirate sophomore starters: Makenna Murray, Carolyn Ruffino, Aubri Smith, Amani White and Brooke Zamora.  Freshman Kyleesha Green was named honorable mention All-WSC by the conference coaches.

This is the second straight all-conference selection for Murray, Ruffino, Smith and Zamora.  All were first-team selections a year ago and Smith was also the conference MVP.

The Pirates posted a 12-0 conference mark in 2016, taking the program's 26th consecutive WSC championship.
