Pirate Softball Gets 3-Hit Shutout Win Over Moorpark

Anissa Padilla pitched a three-hit shutout, and was 2-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI as the Pirate softball team won a big road game at Moorpark 2-0 on Thursday afternoon. Julianne Abeloe was 3-4 with a double and Celeste Ekman was 2-3 with an RBI in the win for Ventura (19-8, 10-3).

The Pirates, who sit in second place in the Western State Conference North Division one half game out of first, travel to Santa Ana for a non-conference match up on Monday April 3.  Then they host first-place Allan Hancock on Thursday April 6 in a big WSC game at the VC Softball Complex.
