The VC softball team appears to be exhibiting a troubling trend.  They once again gave up a big inning early, this time a four-run first inning, in their 6-3 loss at San Diego City College Friday. Brittany Perez led the Pirate offense with a 3-4 performance with a double.

Alexis White pitched for Ventura (1-5).  VC gave up four runs in the first inning, and came back with a score in the fourth.  San Diego extended its lead with two more scores in the sixth before VC plated two runs in the seventh.

Offensively Perez was the leader while Farris Burke, Lyndsey Dietz and Claira Lozano all had an hit and an RBI for the Pirates.

VC will return to the field on Saturday Feb. 7 at San Diego Mesa College.  First pitch is schedule for 12:00 pm.
