VC opened the day with an early morning affair against the Bear Cubs. Looking to control play early, the Pirates jumped out to a 7-2 advantage at the half. Daniel Amorim and Trevor Edwards carried over their strong offensive play from the day before with multiple goals each. Coronado, Coby Wiegman and Nathan Sardoni each netted a solo goal. Wiegman found the back of the net one more time in the second half with Amorim and Edwards continuing to score in bunches with multiple goals. Defensively, the Pirates notched seven total steals and drew one ejection on Santa Rosa in the win. Galvez played a solid game in net with seven saves in the game. The Pirates used a balanced attack in the final game of their weekend to pick up the blowout win. Starting off hot, the Pirates were up 8-2 at the half with seven different Pirates netting a goal. Coronado netted two goals with six others Pirates contributing single scores.  Jack Pickett, Keaton Hess, Brandon Haase and Chandler Cole each collected their first goals of the day. With the large halftime advantage, the Pirates again utilized their entire roster to get game action for several players. Eddie Quila notched two second half goals, Haase netted a single goal and Greg Berardinelli found the back of the net. Galvez, with 10 saves in the game, helped the Pirates stiffle any hopes of a come back from Ohlone with the defense picking up seven steals and three ejections.

Ventura will return to the pool on Thursday Oct. 22 when Cuesta travels to the Ventura Aquatic Center for a 2:15 pm Western State Conference game.
