The Pirates' men's water polo team dropped the third-place match at the Western State Conference Tournament at Citrus College 18-6 against Cuesta. VC finished fourth in the tournament and concluded its 2014 season.
Dominic Tassano led Ventura (7-23) with three socers and Trevor Edwards recorded a pair of goals. Daniel Amorim also found the back of the net for the Pirates while J'son Ruiz had six saves.
