Men's Polo Drops Two to Complete Golden West Tourney

The Ventura College men's water polo team was unable to gain momentum from their victory Saturday, dropping a pair of matches to close the Golden West Tournament Saturday.  VC fell to Orange Coast 18-8 in the first match, followed by a 14-7 setback to Riverside City College.

Dominic Tassano netted four goals while Daniel Amorim scored three.  Trevor Edwards also found the back of the net while J'son Ruiz had 12 saves.

Amorim had three goals to lead the Pirates.  Tassano, Edwards, Mitchell Ongstad and Alec Kruse also scored one goal each.  Ruiz turned back 10 shots in goal.

Ventura will travel to Santa Monica for their Western State Conference finale on Wednesday Oct. 29 before hosting a mini tournament on Friday Oct. 31.  VC will play Mt. San Antonio at 1:00 pm and Fullerton at 3:00 pm at the Ventura Aquatic Center.
