Assistant Coach Jake Colman enters his third season assisting with the men's tennis team at Ventura College in 2023. He has been an integral part of the Pirates two Western State Conference crowns in 2022 and 2023, along with the team's appearances in the Southern California Regional Finals both years.
Colman, a 2017 VC graduate, also has assisted with the Pirate football team for five years, mentoring the Pirates' offensive line and serving as the team's Offensive Coordinator. He has helped Ventrua to four of Northern Conference titles, and an undefeated regular season in 2021. the Pirates advanced to the Southern California Regional Championship in 2023. As a student athlete, he played on a pair of Northern Conference championship teams and finished his playing career at San Jose State University following the 2018 season.
