Men's Tennis Sweeps Orange Coast in Easy Win

The VC men's tennis team kept things rolling Tuesday with a 9-0 victory at Orange Coast in their first action in 11 days. Rafael Matias and Max Beaudry were each double winners for Ventura in the non-conference match.

Matias and Yanis Guerrout won their No. 1 doubles match 8-0 while Yusen Sato and Haru Nakayama also shut out their opponents in No. 2 doubles. Beaudry and Manolo Vanbesien prevailed in No. 3 doubles 8-2.

Matias then won in No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-3 and Beaudry earned his second point with a 6-2, 6-2 victory in No. 4 singles. Ariitea Cotti-Helme claimed the No. 2 singles match one and love and Leo Pham was victorious in No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Jules Marquez Fichet claimed the No. 5 singles slot 6-3, 7-5 while Antonio Cardiel won in No. 6 singles, love and two.

Ventura (9-3, 5-0) will next face Santa Barbara in their final Western State Conference match of the year on Wednesday Mar. 19 beginning at 2:00 pm.
