The Ventura College men's tennis team has earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Southern California regional Playoffs. The Pirates (16-0) will host No. 7 (8) El Camino (8-5) on Tuesday April 5 at 2:00 pm at the VC Tennis Center.
VC is in the midst of a stellar season, having won the program's 21st Western State Conference Championship. Additionally, Ventura has three of the final four doubles teams remaining in the WSC tournament, and they had seven of eight quarterfinalists in the singles draw with an all-VC final scheduled for Friday April 8.
El Camino finished third in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference behind No. 1-seeded College of the Desert and No. 4 San Diego City.
The winner of Tuesday's VC-El Camino match will play the winner of San Diego City and No. 5 Riverside on Tuesday April 12.
