De La Laurencie, Bautista, Two Double Teams Names All-WSC

VC freshmen Charles De La Laurencie and Thiago Batista headlined the Pirates' men's tennis team's first team All-Western State Conference selections for the 2019 season. De La Laurencie and doubles partner James Moulton along with Antonio Rosales and Kyle Spiegelman earned first team honors in doubles for Ventura.

De La Laurencie, who came to VC from Vaureal, France, earned his first team nod for No. 2 singles. he also teamed up with Moulton, a Camarillo High School product, to earn the first-team honor in the No. 3 doubles slot. Batista, a native of Votuporanga, Brazil, was named first team all-conference in No. 5 singles while Rosales and Spiegelman earned the award for their play in No. 1 singles. Rosales hails from Quito, Ecuador while Spiegelman is a Calabasas High School graduate.

Rosales also earned second-team All-WSC honors in No. 1 singles, and Alexandre Campolina was second team at the No. 3 singles slot. Spiegelman was second-team all-conference at No. 4 and Moulton earned the second team award in No. 6 singles.

Campolina and Batista were named second team All-WSC in No. 2 doubles.
