The Ventura College men's tennis team had the victory in hand before play began at Los Angeles Pierce Tuesday afternoon as the Brahmas only had three players available for their match-up with the Pirates. VC (10-4, 4-2) won five points by default, then won three more on the court for the 8-1 Western State Conference victory. Charles De La Laurencie and James Moulton won in singles while Antonio Rosales and Kyle Spiegelman triumphed in doubles play.
Moulton won his No. 3 singles match love and love while De La Laurencie triumphed at the No. 1 slot 6-2, 6-0. Rosales and Spiegelman were victorious in No. 1 doubles, 8-0.
Ventura travels to Bakersfield on Thursday March 28 before finishing the regular season at home on Friday March 29 against Grossmont.
