Pirates Sweep San Diego Mesa on the Road

The Ventura College men's tennis team made the trek to San Diego on Friday, coming home with a 9-0 sweep over the Olympians in a non-conference contest. James Moulton did not drop a game all day, winning his No. 6 singles match love and love after teaming up with Charles De La Laurencie in No. 3 doubles for an 8-0 win. De La Laurencie also won in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-0.

Antonio Rosales and Kyle Spiegelman won in No. 1 doubles 8-3 while Alexandre Campolina and Thiago Batista finished the doubles sweep with an 8-4 triumph in the No. 2 slot.

Rosales won in No. 1 singles, one and two and Spiegelman was victorious in No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-0. Campolina won his No. 3 singles match 6-1, 6-3, and Batista triumphed in No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-1.

Ventura (5-2, 1-1) hosts Santa Barbara in a Western State Conference match on Tuesday March 5 at the VC Tennis Center beginning at 2:00 pm.
