MEN'S TENNIS: The doubles team of Vitor Mendes and Victor Dos Santos won a pair of matches Friday at the VC Tennis Center, claiming the Western State Conference title on the final day of the conference tournament. Meanwhile, Mendes earlier fell in the singles championship match, claiming the runner-up finish. VC will now have two players in singles competition, Mendes and Matheus Montero, and two doubles teams, Mendes and Dos Santos and Montero and Dylan Foster, playing April 24-27 at the CCCAA State Championshups held in conjunction with The Ojai Tournament.
