MEN'S TENNIS: The surging Ventura College men's tennis team defeated Bakersfield College 6-3 Tuesday in the Central Valley to claim its fourth consecutive victory in dual competition. Victor Dos Santos and Dylan Foster were double winners at Nos. 4 and 6 singles, respectively, and together in No. 3 doubles. Meanwhile Vitor Mendes was also a double winner at No. 1 singles and with Matheus Montero at No. 1 doubles. Arthur Da Silva produced the sixth point for the Pirates (5-4, 4-2) with a victory in No. 5 singles.
Ventura travels for a pair of non-conference duals next week before the Western State Conference singles and doubles tournament next weekend. VC will head to Cerritos on Tuesday April 1 before heading to Riverside on Wednesday April 2. The Pirates will then host the WSC tournament on April 4 and 5.
