MEN'S TENNIS: For the third time in five matches, the Pirates' men's tennis team dropped a match by the slimmest of a 5-4 margin, Saturday to San Diego Mesa College at the VC Tennis Center. VC won one doubles match, but came back with three singles victories, but were just not able to overcome the Olympians. Vitor Mendes was a winner in No. 1 singles and also partnered with Matheus Mentero to win in No. 1 doubles. Victor Dos Santos (No. 3) and Arthur Da Silva also posted wins in singles for the Pirates (1-4, 1-2).
Ventura hosts Saddleback College on Friday March 14 at 2:00 pm before resuming Western State Conference play at home against Glendale on Tuesday March 18, also at 2:00 pm.
