The Pirate golf team posted a team score of 399 to finish fifth Monday at the Western State Conference event hosted by Citrus at the San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. AJ Ryland was the low man for the Pirates carding a 5-over 77 to tie for 10th place overall.
Jonas Slattum was the second Pirate in the clubhouse with a 78 and Zack Garboski had a 79. Nicolai Cascione posted an 82, Elijah Delsi shot an 83 and Nathan Long turned in an 89 for the day.
Canyons claimed the team title for the day with a 372 followed by Citrus at 386 and Glendale with a 387.
Ventura next heads to Bakersfield Country Club on Monday April 3 for the WSC event hosted by Bakersfield College.
