The Ventura College golf team fell to Northern California powerhouse Reedley College Friday afternoon in a dual match played at the par-72 Hunter ranch Golf Club in Paso Robles. The Pirates carded a team score of 399 compared to the 369 posted by the Tigers. Michael Ray led Ventura with a 3-over 75 and Nick Burns shot a 4-over 77.
Kaden Santos turned in an 81 while Jake Yasutake and Noah Hollander each recorded rounds of 83. Justin Perich shot a 92 for Ventura.
The Pirates return to the course on Monday March 11 at Santa Maria Country Club for the Western State Conference match hosted by Allan Hancock College. Tee times begin at 10:00 am.
