Playing on their home course, the par-72 Victoria Lakes course at River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard, the Pirate golf team finished in third place of the eight teams participating. VC posted a team score of 397, behind Canyons (378) and Santa Barbara (389), and ahead of fourth place Citrus (399). Joey Herrera was the low Pirate, carding a four-over 76 on the day.
Other Ventura golfers included Denis Kakimoto (77), Connor Philpott (81), Ethan Winkler (81), Brandon Resnick (82) and Kevin Leblanc (84).
The Pirates return to action on Monday March 13 at San Dimas GC in the conference match hosted by Citrus College.
