Pirate Golfers Team up to Bring Home Third Place

The Ventura College men's golf team battled through windy conditions for a third place finish at Western State Conference Citrus match. The Pirates came in with a team total of 386, 12 strokes behind the first place team. Kyle Dollison was the Pirates low scorer for the round with a two over round of 74.

Ventura on the day had four golfers finish the day with rounds of 78 or lower. Dollison topped the VC team, but was followed up by Brandon Resnick with a round of 76. Alex Hood shot a 78 on the day for a six over round and was matched by teammate Nick Bublitz who also fired a round of 78 for the day. The Pirates had two other golfers come in with rounds in the low 80's.

VC came in behind College of the Canyons who was first with a 374 team total and then just behind Citrus who finished with a 380 team total. Ventura has finished in second or third at every WSC match so far this season.

Ventura will return to WSC match play on Monday Apr. 4 for a road trip to Santa Maria when they will play in the WSC Allan Hancock contest. They will then have two more WSC matches before heading into the playoffs.
