Greg Brown posted a team-low 78 at the Western State Conference event hosted by Santa Barbara at Alisal Ranch Country Club on Monday.

After a solid start to the conference season a week ago, the Pirate golf team placed seventh Monday at the WSC event hosted by Santa Barbara City College at Alisal Ranch Country Club. Greg Brown led VC with a 6-over par 78.
College ofthe Canyons won the event with a team score of 374 while Santa Barbara was second at 377. Ventura posted a team score of 411.
Other VC scores included Emil Ozeke and Patrick Holden at 81, Matthew Thomas at 83, and Remy Smaby and Alex Hood at 88.
The Pirates will travel to Soboba Springs Country Club on Wednesday Feb. 18 to play in the Mt. San Jacinto eagle Golf Invitational.
