Pirates Fall Back at Glendale

GOLF:  The Ventura College golf team fell back from their overall second-place tie with a fourth place finish at the Western State Conference event hosted by Glendale College at Oakmont Country Club. Santa Barbara, who entered the day tied with VC for second, won the event with a team score of 396 and host Glendale used local knowledge of the course to finish second with a 396. WSC-leading Canyons was third (410) followed by Ventura at 416. Aaron Lee was the low man for the Pirates with a 79, followed by Greg Robarge (80), Erik Thorbecke (84), Greg Brown (84), Remy Smaby (89) and Patrick Holden (97).

Ventura will battle their WSC foes one more time, on Monday April 21at a neutral site, before the conference championships on Monday April 28.
