GOLF: On a cold and very windy day at Valencia Country Club, the Pirate golf team placed third of the eight Western State Conference schools in the season's first conference match hosted by College of the Canyons. Scores were high with the difficult conditions as the host Cougars placed first with a team score of 367 followed by Santa Barbara (402) and Ventura (424). Aaron Lee paced the VC team with an 82, followed by Greg Brown (83), Erik Thorbecke (86), Patrick Holden (86) and Greg Robarge (87).
VC will return to Valencia Country Club on Wednesday Feb. 12 for a dual match with Reedley College beginning at 12:30 pm.
