After a long drive to the Bay Area, the Pirates' men's basketball team had difficulty finding its shooting touch in a 90-81 loss at Ohlone College in Fremont Friday on the first day of the Jonathan Wallace Memorial Tournament.  Cordel Hankerson led the Pirates (2-2) with 23 points while Thomas Frank scored a VC career-high 18 points.  Vida Faniel had a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Eddie Cowan contributed six assists.

The Pirates shot 28-77 from the floor for a 34 percent clip, and 10-32 from behind the 3-point arc in the contest.

VC continues play in Fremont on Saturday Nov. 12 with a 5:00 pm game agianst Cañada College.
