Pirate Men Continue Post-Thanksgiving Hangover

The Ventura College men's basketball team continued to struggle in their post-holiday schedule, dropping a 66-48 decision to Los Angeles Harbor in the first round of the Gregg Anderson Memorial Tournament at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster Friday afternoon.  Jamal Lewis led VC (5-6) with 14 points and three assists.

The Seahawks outscored Ventura 12-2 in the first five minutes of the second half to turn a 29-23 advantage to a 16-point lead. Ventura continued to struggle with turnovers, committing 18 in the game, and had trouble finding their shooting touch, hitting on 36 percent of their field goal attempts and hitting two of 16 3-point shots.

Ventura moves to the consolation bracket where they will play Mira Costa College on Saturday Dec. 6 at 3:00 pm.
