MEN'S BASKETBALL: Freshman guard Jalen Young poured in 25 points, but the VC men's basketball team dropped an 81-70 decision to San Bernardino Valley College on the second day of the John J. Kennedy Tournament at Pasadena City College Saturday. Jon McMurry was the only other Pirate in double-figures with 14 points to go along with a team-high seven rebounds. Dennis Savoy came off the bench to score six points with six boards for the Pirates (4-4).
VC completes the tournament Sunday Dec. 1 against East Los Angeles at 1:00 pm.
