Ventura College football coach Steve Mooshagian has announced 19 transfers from the 2022 SCFA Semifinalist Pirate football team, 13 of whom were mid-year transfers. Among the transfers and signees, 15 are moving on to NCAA Division I and four to NCAA Division II. With the addition of these transfers, coach Mooshagian has now helped 303 student athletes move on to the four-year level in his 12 years leading the Pirates.
Many of these student athletes have helped the Pirates to consecutive SCFA Northern Conference titles, including the program's second undefeated regular season in 2021. The Pirates also advanced to the SCFA Semifinals in each of the past two years after the suspension of the 2020 campaign due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
