VC Football Transfers 27 From 2018 SCFA Champions

Ventura College football and head coach Steve Mooshagian has announced that 27 players from the 2018 Southern California Football Association champions have inked scholarships or committed to play at four-year schools.

Among the Pirate transfers, 15 have inked with NCAA Division I schools, 11 playing in the Football Bowl Series with four in the Football Championship Series, and eight are transferring to NCAA Division II schools.

The 27 transfers from the 2018 team helped the Pirates win their fourth straight Northern Conference crown in 2017 and led VC to the SCFA championship and into the CCCAA state title game this past season.

With the addition of these transfers, coach Mooshagian has now helped 230 student athletes move on to the four-year level in his nine years at the helm of the Pirates' ship. He anticipates more transfers as the summer winds down and fall practice begins in the coming weeks.
