FOOTBALL:  Pirate quarterback Brad Odeman continues to have a stellar season. He has won his third Southern California Football Association Northern Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor for his efforts in the Citrus Cup matchup with Moorpark on Saturday. In the Pirates 54-21 win, Odeman broke his own school record, passing for 438 yards on 38-51 passing, including five touchdowns. Additionally, he was VC's leading rusher with 52 yards on eight carries.

The 6-foot-3, 220 pound sophomore from Vintage High School in Napa now has 22 touchdowns on the season, which ties him for the school record with half the schedule yet to be played.

Ventura will travel to Saddleback this coming Saturday for a 6:00 pm contest in Mission Viejo.
