BASEBALL:  Pirate pitcher Shawn Domke allowed just two runs over seven innings, but the VC bullpen and the Pirate bats could not keep pace, as the Ventura College baseball team fell 7-1 Tuesday against Glendale College at Pirate Park. Pirate relievers allowed five runs in the final two frames, and VC (11-20, 7-11) managed just one run despite having runners on in seven different innings in the contest. Domke struck out six, but received the loss in the game while Tim Ginther and Bradley Fullerton each had two hits. Tyler Watson scored VC's lone run on Scott Morton's ground-out in the eighth inning.

The Pirates continue their week of non-conference contests Wednesday April 16 at Pasadena City College at 2:30 pm. They travel to Mt. San Antonio on Friday April 19 for a 7:00 pm game.
