BASEBALL: For the third time this season, the Pirate baseball team took on the Cuesta Cougars, and for the third time this season, VC came out on top, 7-3 on Thursday in san Luis Obispo. Harrison Crawford continued to swing a strong bat with a 3-4 performance with a home run while scoring two runs with four RBI. Tyler Watson pitched into the ninth inning for the victory and had a double and two runs scored at the plate. Michael Volaski also had a hit with an RBI and Garrett Serino recorded a hit with a run scored for the Pirates (11-18, 7-10).
Ventura returns home on Friday April 11 to close the season series with the Cuesta with a first pitch scheduled for 2:30 pm at Pirate Park.
