BASEBALL:  Using an offensive explosion, the Ventura College baseball team used 16 hits to power a 9-2 win over Los Angeles Pierce College Saturday afternoon at Pirate Park. Tim Ginther, Harrison Crawford and Brian Magana all had three hits on the day, with Ginther knocking in two runs, Crawford scoring twice, and Magana scoring once with an RBI for VC (10-17, 6-9). David Newland had a pair of hits, including a double, with an RBI and two runs scored and Bradley Fullerton also had two hits. Colton Follett pitched six strong innings with seven strikeouts while allowing two earned runs.

The Pirates will close the season series with the Brahmas Tuesday April 8 at 2:30 pm in Woodland Hills. VC will return home Friday April 11 at 2:30 pm against Cuesta.
