BASEBALL:  Runs have been hard to come by against he top-ranked Oxnard College pitching staff. The Pirates found that out first hand as they fell to the Condors 4-0 in Oxnard on Tuesday afternoon. Ventura (9-16, 5-8) was limited to five singles as a team, but they were not without their chances, having two batters reach base in the first and ninth innings and having the bases loaded with one out in the fifth. Harrison Crawford reached base three times with two hits and a hit by pitch and Brian Magana recorded a hit and a walk in the game.

Shawn Domke settled down after allowing four runs in the first two innings to pitch a complete game for VC with four strikeouts.

Ventura will host Oxnard on Thursday Apr. 3 at 2:30 pm before hosting Los Angeles Pierce at 1:00 pm on Saturday April 5.
