BASEBALL: The Pirate baseball team won its second consecutive game Thursday, and its third victory in four outings, with a 6-0 blanking of Cuesta at Pirate Park. VC (7-13, 3-5) broke open a 1-0 game with three runs in the sixth inning and another two in the eighth. Tyler Watson pitched a complete game shutout for his third win of the season and Mykel Davis two hits and two RBI. Harrison Crawford had a double, an RBI, and scored two runs and Tim Ginther tripled and scored a run. Watson also had a single and scored twice to help his own cause.
Ventura hosts Allan Hancock College at 1:00 pm on Saturday March 22 before heading up to Santa Maria on Tuesday March 25 to conclude the two-game set with the Bulldogs.
