BASEBALL:  After a slumber of nearly a month, the Pirate baseball team's offense woke up in a big way, leading the charge to a 17-8 win at Cuesta College Tuesday in San Luis Obispo. Tyler Watson led Ventura (6-13, 2-5), batting 5-6 with a triple and a pair of doubles, four runs scored and three RBI. Harrison Crawford had four hits, including a triple, with five RBI and a run scored while Garrett Serino was 2-5 with a walk, three runs scored, and a pair of runs batted in. Tim Ginther had two hits and two RBI with four runs scored. Shawn Domke pitched seven quality innings to pick up the win.

Ventura returns to Pirate Park on Thursday March 20 to conclude the two-game set with the Cougars. Before hosting Allan Hancock College at 1:00 pm on Saturday March 22.
