Baseball Struggles Continue

BASEBALL:  Ventura College baseball's early season struggles continued Saturday afternoon at No. 7 Santa Ana College. The Pirates took an early 1-0 lead but it would be short lived as the Pirate pitching staff was unable to hold back the Dons' offense. Ventura (4-6) fell by a 14-2 score. The Pirates collected 7 hits with sophomore David Newland and freshmen Brad Fullerton having multi hit games.

Ventura will hit the road twice in the next week before coming home. They travel to Citrus on Tuesday Feb. 25 for a 2:00 pm game and to Los Angeles Mission on Thursday Feb. 27 for another 2:00 pm contest. VC returns to Pirate Park on Saturday March 1 against Mt. San Antonio in a 1:00 pm contest.
