Sabine Stork will continues to assist head coach Brad Lyans to help lead the Pirates into their sixth season of beach volleyball in 2021.  She has been with head coach Brad Lyans since the inception of the program in 2016, with an overall record of 57-24, 32-5 in Western State Conference play. Sabine helped the Pirates capture WSC titles in 2017 and 2019, and helped direct VC to the Southern California Regional Playoffs in 2016 and 2017 and 2019.

Sabine would have also finished her seventh season as an assistant with the indoor volleyball program in the fall. She helped direct VC to its first WSC championship in 13 years in 2018, advancing to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2003. The Pirates have been in the post-season four times in Sabine's six years at VC.

The matriarch of one of the most recognizable family names in the volleyball world—as wife of USA Olympic Gold medalist and current Cal State Northridge head's women's coach Jeff Stork, with two children competing collegiately and another playing professionally overseas—Sabine is a legendary figure in her own right. A standout player for Taft High School in the San Fernando Valley, she went on to win an NCAA National Championship as a member of the 1983 Cal State Northridge Women's Volleyball Team.

Sabine followed the culmination of her successful playing career with a headlong dive into coaching—and swiftly found another area in which to excel. She has coached for several renowned high school programs in her time, most notably Francis Parker of San Diego, where as Varsity Girls Head Coach in the late 1980's she won back-to-back CIF Championships.

She spent several seasons as the Head Varsity Girls Coach at Louisville High School, where she sent a plethora of graduates off to great collegiate success. Sabine is also one of the most valuable and treasured assistant coaches of the Los Angeles Volleyball Academy (LAVA), where she has worked for several years alongside Coach Lyans and captured a pair of Volleyball Festival National Championships.
