With the Golf season winding down, the Pirates are primed to qualify for the Southern California Regionals for the eighth straight year. Leading the charge is AJ Ryland. The freshman from St. Bonaventure High School finished second at the final regular season event at Sandpiper Golf Course in Goleta, shooting a 4-over 76 on a difficult course. The greens played very fast and Ryland navigated through the round without a single three-putt, quite an accomplishment. For his efforts, AJ is this week's VC Pirate Student Athletes of the Week sponsored by M&M Sports.
