Katie Campbell just finished a stellar freshman season for the VC women's basketball team. The Oaks Christian product was the Western State Conference North Division MVP and also earned first-team All-State honors. She averaged 18.4 points per game with 6.3 rebounds per outing. Katie also made 97 3-pointers on the year, the third highest total in VC history. She led the Pirates to a 28-6 mark and a perfect 10-0 WSC campaign as Ventura won its 27th straight WSC title and advanced to the State Final Four for the 14th time in school history. Katie has been named this week's VC Pirate Student Athlete of the Week proudly sponsored by Snapper Jack's Taco Shack.
