VC running back Isaiah Brown has had a solid season, and Saturday night's performance added to it. The Pirates' leading rusher on the year had 16 carries for an even 100 yards in Ventura's 42-28 victory in the 49th edition of the Citrus Cup game against Moorpark. Brown, who prepped at Northmont High School in Dayton, Ohio, ran for two touchdowns in the win over the Raiders, the program's ninth straight triumph in the rivalry game. Isaiah has been named this week's VC Pirate Student Athlete of the Week proudly sponsored by Snapper Jack's Taco Shack.
