Very seldom does a generational player come around. Hironori Koyanagi is making a case for himself as one of, if not the best men's tennis player ever at Ventrua College. He added to his resume last weekend by pulling off the back-to-back double dip at the Western State Conference Championships. For the second straight year, he won the WSC singles championship over teammate Corey Karen, then teamed up with Karen to win their second consecutive WSC doubles crown. Koyanagi, the defending state singles champion, heads into this week's CCCAA State Championships at The Ojai as the favorite in singles competition, and as the No. 3 seed with Karen in doubles.
