The Pirate softball team found their bats over the weekend, winning three of four games at the Mt. San Jacinto President's Day Weekend Tournament in Menifee. A Big reason behind their success was freshman Brittany Perez. She went 7-11 in VC's four games, three victories, with four home runs and 10 RBI. In Sunday's tournament finale, a 10-1 win over Rio Hondo, she was 3-3 with two home runs and five RBI. The shortstop from Buena High School is this week's VC Pirate Student AThlete of the Week sponsored by Pacific Aire Heating and Cooling.
