On a team that has become known for its guard play, sophomore forward Brooke Dixon is coming into her own as well. The Pacifica high School product posted three straight double-doubles over the weekend leading the Pirates' women's basketball team to the championship of the LA Valley College - Russell Classic. In three games Brooke scored 53 points with 33 rebounds, earning tournament MVP honors. She made 51 percent of her field goals (21-41) and 84 percent of her free throws (11-13) in three 20+ point Pirate wins over Desert, SoCal No. 1 Long Beach, and SoCal No. 11 LA Valley.
